Mechanical and Electrical Contracts Manager
Box & Charnock are looking to employ a Mechanical and Electrical Contracts Manager who will report to the Managing Director. Candidates should be cost conscious, quick thinking, and proactive to the ongoing needs of the company. You will be a self starter who can work independently and continue to maintain and develop our good working relationships with our existing client base, and deal competently and professionally with external consultants alike.
You will manage a number of contracts within the London area, including medium sized commercial installations, and medium rise residential projects.
You will be competent at man-management skills and be a diplomatic individual, representing the ‘face’ of the company to many of our clients.
The role will include:- Playing a critical role in containing costs
- Managing labour resources on a site by site basis
- Dealing with client instructions for variations
- Authorisation of fitters’ invoices working within budget figures
- Recording progress of works
- Monitoring basic H&S issues
- Carrying out quality checks
- Attending client meetings and providing reports/feedback
- Actively promoting the business for prospective work
- Monitoring stock levels
- Liaison with all internal departments
With a working knowledge of M&E projects, preferably with a mechanical bias, you will be qualified to a minimum of HNC level and must be fully conversant with excel whilst a good knowledge of other Microsoft packages would be a distinct advantage.
